he did send them in a weird format. instead of attaching them, he just pasted them directly into the body of the email. that could be what's screwing it up, b/c i couldn't get them off the email, but had to copy paste into the body of the post.
oh! i rock! like 2 seconds after i posted my reply to you, i went back to the post, dragged the photos from the post onto my Mac desktop, and voila! restored! now they're up in their full quality, as they should have been to begin with!
