the horror

home for the holiday.

i'm spending some time reading, writing, and catching up on films.

and i'm seeing this guy tomorrow:

i like the David Lynch-like film-making. tho the music could match it a little better (be more pounding, more industrial, less crisp, and more flakey / scrapey)

How early-Dr.Who-ish/thePrisoner brit sci-fi! Sorry, but what is it?

((Also, if you placed a referring addy to the video? - for those of us with difficult ancient computers so one could more easily access the video clip from the originating site. Seems good form to me, but I AM pretty old school, so I would understand if you find it be a pain/disagree. (i.e. with some hacking I got this youtube video to work - usually embedded ones do not always play)))

But anyways, wow... I worship at the alter of your wild tastes in film. Got any favourite soundtracks of all time?

buena Friday nite,

hey R,
sorry i didn't realize embedded vids were difficult to access. here's the addy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqCMaM3H2tk.

and yes, i do have a favorite soundtrack. it was for the film IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, which i *highly* recommend seeing. i worship at the altar of Wong Kar-Wai. i think he's absolutely brilliant, and the use of music in this film is beautiful. u shld check it out: http://www.brns.com/pages3/misc1.html

Try to remember that one. Reminds me of costume jewelry, retro second hand clothes, and silver cigarette cases with built-in butane lighters from the thirties (which ppl always stole from me or I lost).

Hope you fulfill that mood eh!

~ I actually sign my name backwards! (it is my IRC chat handle - also partly inspired by a plugin that would type your text chat right-to-left in the chat room, but I never got it working...)
