WHY? BECAAAUUUUUUSE... I HAVE 15 PAGES WRITTEN AND I HAVE THE NEXT FEW PAGES MAPPED OUT AND THEY ARE GONNA ROCK SO HARD THE BOAT IS GONNA SINK, MAN!!!!

IT'S 2008 NOW - YEAH!! - AND IT'S GONNA BE THE BEST YEAR EVAH!

also, i've been reading my thesis in a thick Texan accent, just on occasion to lighten the mood - something i suggest trying when you're bored.

Nice guy, tho.

I plan ta try my drink this month, which is a monumentus event as I have been under discipline of my oath of povertay ta not consume alcohol over the past ten yearz or so. It is a local variaty of a peppermint patty:
mix in a a&w mug (a&w is a old regional fastfood joint that specializes is HUGE as in hilariously massive frosty mug root beer (I measured it once, think its abowt 4 cups))
~ 1 part coffee to 1 part hot chocolate
~ homeade irish cream (my specialty)
~ peppermint schnapps, creme de mint, vodka, frangelico, kalua (I thank)
~ smidgent of chocolate syrup
~ top with whipped cream and cherry
(-:| <-- what happens 2 ya afterwords

Cheers, yankee

mmm that sounds DELICIOUS!

careful though - if it's been over ten years since your last imbibtion, you best pace yourself. don't want to end up carrying yourself away - or having other ppl carrying YOU.

i haven't had a good night of drinking in probably half a year, and my tolerance is already waaaay down. which is fine, it keeps me away from my liquers long enough to write a thesis. ha.

your drink reminds me of a drink i made up last winter. 2/3 Swiss Miss dark chocolate cocoa with 1/3 amaretto mixed in. so good! tastes like a tootsie roll, and thus the name. (c) 2007 by Stephanie Lee!

enjoy,

Bah! I am freaking irish catholic, practically born with whiskey in my veins. Putting it anohter way, you have nothing to worry about as my drinking buddy has a 'cristmas tree' that we decorated with chocolate coins, leprchauns, flying pigs, and topped with a beautiful shamrock stained glass affair.

But your concern is cute, and I might break your copyright as I love those really large tootsie rolls! mmm

Laughs & cheers

Ignore this if ur busy...

So if I can lend more hands while you are working your tail off, I am thinking about how when one publishes video via blogger your blog becomes a video podcast - if this were true of posting audio via the blog editor, you could have a audio podcast hosted from your blog (the best I can find is that limits are definately <100megabytes, but that this may also be dependant upon your bandwidth, as upload large files to the server also is slowed/impeded by some verifying on their part... just thinking out loud here). Rad-radio, or how about RAD!o ?

laters

PS one of my hax0r buddies pointed out maybe my hax of youtube.com is unworkable and I should stick to doing the above for my video work

ha, i like the idea: RADio. nice. will play with it, but who knows how i'll find the time.

i'm more interested in this as an idea: collaborative radio project with a fellow blogger. or a guest appearance on an existing podcast. would you host me?

it takes all the work out of it for me, and adds in more fUN! and we all know that's in need these days.

Oh, I dunno. I have only been looking to collaborate for like a million years now. So it is kind of "new".

Sarcasm aside, it is an awesome sentiment, but we need a way to collaborate. The simpler the better, but, without getting into a length comment here, my friends mostly use linux and wiki, which is mostly incompatable with my computer, you, I think are on apple, with similar issues. So the really simpler the better... (I usually call this Commonality, fwiw)

Here is my latest pr0g:
http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=26084
and another from today:
http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=26085

So, like, I could post your audio work on radio4all, but that would mean having a way to send audio to me, like that way you use for sharing audio from your blog. There are very real issues here, which we can work through - ie I only use ogg-audio (for reasons critical to my activism). I think you use mp4, which I am still trying to setup to use.

Is it possible to share via skype? I have only text-chatted on it, so I do not know.

Gotta go check on my awol drinking buddy's cats and aptment...

One day I hope we can share popcorn from our computers and end world poverty (-:

PS Maybe we could jam?

hm... i'm really liking this idea of skyping a collaborative post - like a conversation - or a transcript for a radio show, but without the audio component precedent.

it's performative, in a way, and immediate.

and what's more, it sounds fun!

I better step way out on a limb here then, before I become a complete enabler of your insanity and point you to my very rare comedy show I did when I got my music player (which also records really low quality).

When I became a part of indymedia, there were various blocs - contingents of like minded activists. I decided that the techies needs some comedy relief and so founded a top secret bloc, known as the morale bloc (I call it top secret cos it sounds better than saying it was just me making techies and activists on irc laugh). Since then, I have found it my solemn duty to levitate the internet. Very difficult, but possible. And rewarding, but the wrong joke or misplaced humour without a comeback can really backfire.

Here is some of my medicine, originally called Into The Orange, then just Orange, and on the Internet, of just, just "O":

http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=12263
http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=12394
http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=12665

Incidentally, one of the counties were I live is Huron. It is reneck heaven in parts unknown. So I re-named it Urine county as the setting for an opium war between ingrate... well, I won't give away the "plot". Suffice to write, I was about to do a downhome country version of the show called, Postcards From Urine County, when I dropped the project. It involved weeds or soemthing. Man I really am nuts.

Listen, if you DARE! Bwa ah ah ah!!...

steph,
Via update. Do you skype anymore since like mongolia or what? Must be doing something wrong here... Well I found 1.024gigabytes is the threshold for blogger. Suggestion: post at least a single video clip to your blog that represents you &/or your blog. Seems like a nice handshake with video podcatchers. I do not use third parties on my blog, so I do not have like site meters or stuff. But I am placing my feed address in my blog SETTINGS-BASIC-DESCRIPTION, placing it in the header. Not as fancy as as a pretty wee button. But that is how my podcatcher/newsfeer works - I copy-paste the address into the 'new podcast' dialogue box anyways! I think that this is a good idea too, IOW. Anyways, I really am surprised these past weeks to find I even have two podcasts, a vlog and blog! Next I will have my entire archives online as a torrent or somedamnthing.

Now that is out of the way, here is the important news. I took my comrade in disability shopping the other day and made my rare step into the dollar store, post holiday. I found a harmonica and another tambourine to add to my other. This is inspiring me to become a guitar hero on my prized noisemaker: my purple slidewhistle!!! (I inform you of this by way of a hint.)

As for doing audio, the only new tech idea I had is to put audio into a blank video file and post as a video. This is very counterintuitive and counterproductive, at least from a technical standpoint. We should find it interesting that we can post from youtube to blogger, but not vice versa. But is it not odd that we can put video on our blogs and not audio? And automatically distributed as a vlog?! This is a perculiar sign I got into on my podcast and will be exploring.

In the spirit of collaboration,
